How Is Art Used in Coaching?

  • Art helps you communicate ideas, feelings, and perceptions

  • Art helps you bring out and share and understand difficult situations, challenges, and thoughts

  • Art helps you reduce stress, re-center, and increase your sense of well-being.

  • Art facilitates self-reflection, which is the act of thinking about your own feelings and behaviors, and the reasons that may lie behind them.

  • I will ask you to use your preferred art medium to share and understand difficult situations, challenges, and thoughts.  I will ask you to use it to express your feelings, communicate ideas and perceptions,  explore possibilities, plan for the future, break down barriers, overcome limiting thoughts and behaviors that hold you back, find answers, discover ah-ha moments, make decisions, and gain insight regarding these difficult situations, challenges, thoughts.
